About Me

My journey to becoming a counsellor has been shaped by both professional experience and personal insight. I began my career as a solicitor in the City of London, but working with brain-injured clients opened my eyes to the profound impact of psychology on people's lives. Around the same time, I experienced counselling myself and discovered how transformative it could be to have someone truly listen and understand. These experiences led me to make a significant career change, leaving law behind to work in healthcare.

I completed a Master's in Health Psychology at the University of Sussex, deepening my understanding of the mind-body connection and how we can support people through difficult times.  I also spent over ten years in the NHS as a psychological practitioner, working with people facing depression, anxiety and the emotional challenges that often accompany physical health conditions. This work taught me the value of meeting each person where they are, without judgment, and recognising that everyone's path to wellbeing is unique.

Eventually, I felt drawn to train formally as a counsellor, completing my Diploma in Integrative Counselling with Inter-Psyche Training. This allowed me to develop a more flexible, person-centred approach that could adapt to each individual's needs. I now work in private practice in Haywards Heath and Lewes, as well as online, bringing together everything I've learned about supporting people through life's challenges with empathy, patience and genuine care.
